This site provides an informative resource containing several fields such as Genotype, Phenotype, botanical-, morphological- and agronomic characteristics; grain qualities (physical, chemical, and cooking properties); nutritional values; disease and insect resistance; tolerance to unfavorable environments; DNA fingerprint; molecular markers; and pictures describing morphological characteristics of rice.
This is a part of an ongoing effortby the Rice Department to centralize information access to rice research data and provide computational tools to facilitate rice improvement via discovery of new gene-trait associations and accelerated breeding.
